Martin Luther King : “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character.” Martin Luther King Day will next be celebrated on 20th January 2014 in the US. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader of the civil rights movement in 1960s America, which meant that he hoped that black people and white people would begin to live together peacefully, with equal rights. He was assassinated in 1968. We've got a variety of MLK Day activities to suit all ages below... Wouldn't it be terrible? Wouldn't it be sad? If just one single colour was the colour that we had? If everything was purple? Or red? Or blue? Or green? If yellow, pink, or orange was all that could be seen? Can you just imagine how dull the world would be If just one single colour was all that we could see?
